Well I successfully ran 1.5 miles this week. It was kind of hard, but I did it. I wish I'd have done better. I ran Monday and Tuesday, rested Wednesday, ran Thursday and missed Friday. I wasn't feeling the greatest on Friday. Mike and I both have colds. Tomorrow should be interesting. I still haven't weighed myself on the Wii. I think I'm afraid to. I don't want to be doing all of this work and have it not paying off. Though, I do feel like things are tightening up in places. Not visibly, but I can feel it. Plus I just feel good. But the kids nap time I'm ready to pass out. But I really do have more energy through out the day despite the fact that I'm exhausted by then. I don't want to push it too much, but I do have some new goals for the week. Here they are:
Run 1.5 miles at the track each day
Do 150 sit-ups Monday - Friday
Don't eat after 9:45
Well, hopefully all goes well. I'm really feeling so much better physically and mentally. This has been the best thing I could ever have done for myself. Hopefully next week I'll be reporting great things!

Old Lady Hair
I see a lot of it when I'm at the track. You should see it. They all have the same style varied only ever so slightly with each woman. Crazy! Well this last week I ran pretty well. Monday was a holiday, so I stayed home and did a 20 minute run on the Wii. It felt good to get up and do something. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I went to the track. I ran one mile each day and then did some walking. I love getting up and exercising. It makes me feel so good! It's like my body is thanking me for doing it. Not to mention it's nice because I am alone having some me time. It's so nice. It makes my day go so much better.
This week, my goal is to go Monday through Friday with out missing a day. And I'm going to try and bump it up to 1.5 miles now. I'm not going to get anywhere unless I push it. Plus I want to lose weight and that requires work. And better eating, but I'm working on it. Speaking of, I weighed myself on the Wii on Monday. It didn't work out so well. I had heavy clothes and shoes on. I was trying to put in the weight of my clothes manually and screwed it up and put 0. So needless to say I weighed more than I did before. I've got to do a reweigh here soon. I'm running out of time. I've got to push it. My real problem is eating. That's what I'd like to focus on this week.
I guess that's it. Here's to a healthier (and happier) week for me and my body!

Finally
So I really was inspired by my friend. And I really have made some changes and started working toward some goals. I just haven't gotten around to writing them down. I've started with some basics. Here are my goals:
Don't eat after 10 pm
Run Monday thru Friday if possible, if not work out on the Wii.
I'm here to report that last week I made it three of five days. I missed two because we had kids up in the night and it is super hard to have that happen and then attempt to get up at 6 am to work out. I'm also glad to say that I reached my first running goal. (I use the term running very loosely. My run is really more of a very slow jog. But it's faster than walking and I seriously break a sweat.) So I started out on Monday and "ran" a half of a mile. Then on Tuesday I planned to run just one more lap over the half mile. Once I got there I decided to see how far I could go. And I did it. I "ran" an entire mile! It was so amazing! I felt so good about myself. At one point I thought that my lungs were going to explode out of my chest, but I did it! I took Wednesday off for reasons mentioned earlier and then "ran" another straight mile on Thursday! Friday was another one of those days. My goal is to do it again this week. I don't think that the track is open tomorrow, because it's a holiday, but I'll be back at the track on Tuesday. Tomorrow will just be a Wii day.
I'm going to try and take my weight every Saturday morning on the Wii. I didn't do it yesterday, so I'll get it tomorrow and use that number to go on until next weekend.
Overall I'm feeling really good and I'm loving how much energy I have through out the day. Hopefully I'm able to do better this week!

Inspired
I was checking my usual blogs today to see if anyone had posted anything new. I came across a post by a friend who had started a new blog to help track her goal of being healthier this year. I felt like it was what I needed to read. I needed to find a way to track what I was doing. A way to report to someone, besides myself, about the progress I was making. I have a few goals. I haven't completely narrowed them down yet. But in my next post I will list every specific goal I want to achieve. I want to make them achievable, but I don't want to make them so impossible that I get frustrated and give up. I also don't want them so easy that I find my effort pointless. I know I can do it. And I really think this will help me. So for those of you reading this blog (the whole 2 or 3) I would love to hear from you. I look forward to what I can accomplish. And I look forward to keeping track with this blog.
